ABOUT ME

Hey there, I’m Tonya! I started this journey photographing families and weddings in the Charlotte area twenty years ago in 2005. My career took me to the sunny shores of SWFL, where I captured weddings and families on the beach. My heart led me back home to the foothills of NC and the closeness of family.

I am excited to be putting down roots where I grew up while documenting families, newborns and couples. My style is laid-back and natural – placing you in the best lighting and letting the magic unfold. My passion lies in understanding and capturing the connections between people, often when they least expect it.

I’m a mom, wife, and Christian. We’ve recently settled into our new home with a mountain view just outside Lake Lure where I’m growing wildflowers for future sessions. When I’m not working, I enjoy biking the trails, kayaking our beautiful lakes, gardening and canning, or watching a hockey game with my husband and our new pup, Murphy. 

Whether you’re vacationing in the area with your family, welcoming a little one, or saying “I do”, my goal is to create a heartfelt gallery of photos that you’ll treasure for years to come – all while making sure we have some fun too!
